EFT and New Year’s Resolutions

So as January draws to a close, I wonder what you’re doing?

Have you already given up on your New Year Resolutions?

Have you forgotten what it was you had resolved to do or change in your life.

Resolve comes from the Latin resolvere: to loosen, undo, and settle.

I’m not sure where this whole idea of “life change, give up, let go of bad habits” comes from.

Most people only notice what they have to give up or more importantly what they are going to lose. Faced with losing something which is actually important to an individual. 

Is it any wonder most resolutions don’t work?  How hard to people fight to keep what they have or don’t have? If gaining something was more important than losing something, do you not think people and their New Year’s Resolutions would actually be easier to achieve?

I was once asked, why don’t you just do it?  Instead of talk about it. What a wonderful question.  Why don’t you just DO IT? You might find the following useful. How to stop procrastination with EFT.

So how do you use EFT to help you in the New Year. I’m great at setting goals and I know how to make a vision board.  Yet, this year I’m doing something different. I’m also using EFT with my vision board watching and viewing.

Pretty much each day I watch my vision board in a video format which I’ve created.  I’m tapping on the points as I watch the movie.  With each picture I’m say  what it is that I want out loud.  But, I’m not saying it as I want it. I’m saying it how I will say it as I will when I have what it is that I want. 

Within my vision board, I have lots of pictures of myself and the occasional image of ‘thanks’ etc.  Each time I see myself or an image of thank you. I say and feel thank you for what I have (and that which is coming to me).

The Power of Pronouns and EFT Tapping

Stop! – This is not going to be an English grammar lesson, so you can just sit back, relax and start reading.

When you first start to learn EFT and the tapping statement. Many of us are taught a very basic reminder phrase.  The reminder phrase is the phrase that you repeat to yourself as you tap on all the points around the body after you have completed the set-up phrase whilst tapping on the karate chop point.

i.e. Even though I have this emotion. I deeply and completely love, forgive and accept myself. – This is your set-up phrase

The then often taught reminder phrase is ‘this emotion’.  Whilst this can and does work. I find more emotion is felt and subsequently released when you change the “this” to “my”. For myself it somehow personalizes the tapping reminder phrase. I tend to have a very different emotional reaction when I ‘put the emotion upon myself’.

There are many types of pronouns. It also seems to have powerful effects if you change the “this” to his, her, your and their too.

You can be tapping on your own issue, yet changing the reminder phrase to be ‘applicable’ to somebody else. Your unconscious mind will made connections, even if you don’t consciously.

The following is a list of many pronouns. Don’t worry, you already know the words and use them daily.

“I,” “you,” “she,” “he,” “it,” “we,” “you,” “they.”

“me,” “you,” “her,” “him,” “it,” “us,” “you,” and “them.”

“mine,” “yours,” “hers,” “his,” “its,” “ours,” and “theirs.”

Can you begin to imagine how, just by changing one seemingly small word, your tapping experience could be transformed forever?

How To Tap Away Your Real Excuses

I recently heard that all our reasons and excuses for us not having what we want come down to really only a few underlying feelings or emotions. I’m sure like you you know this, but are you tapping on the issues?

The biggie – (These phrases are blowing me away). I’ve not experienced one big single Champagne moment. Yet cumulatively wow. I feel like a changed man.

Tap on the following phrases, often. I’m doing them roughly at least twice a day if not more. I walk to my office so I could be tapping 2, 20 minute sessions just playing with the below, daily. Also in and around the office, I’ll just be tapping on one or all the points, wherever I’m drawn.  I just go with it. Do the same.

The basic premise is to tap on your feelings, resistance, emotions to and with :  safety, fear, worthiness and deserving. If you did nothing but tap on those for the next month.

Your life would change beyond all belief. I’m sure.

Treat each phrase as its own round to begin with. I very often just tap on the points repeating the reminder phrases.

Even though it’s not safe for me to…
Even though I’m afraid to…
Even though he/she/they are afraid to…
Even though it’s not safe for me to get what I want…
Even though I’m afraid to get what I want…
Even though it’s not safe for me to get what I want…
Even though I have this resistance to letting go…
Even though I’ve have this resistance to getting what I want…
Even though I have this resistance to letting go of this/my resistance…
Even though I’m not worthy of…
Even though I don’t deserve…

You can then just tap on the following:

It’s not safe for me…
This safety…
My safety…
Their safety…
I don’t deserve…
I’m not worthy…
She’s not worthy…
She doesn’t deserve…
