How to Find Solutions for Procrastination
Even for the best of us, there are days when nothing gets done. A big problem most of us face when it comes to doing things, starting something, continuing or finishing something is procrastination.
It is important to realize that the solutions for procrastination are often very simple. (That’s a problem for most of us). It involves you making a conscious decision to go ahead and do the task.
When you look for tips on procrastination, you will find that they all say the same thing – ” Act now!” No matter how difficult something looks, it will not become doable until you have tried to do it. Every achiever says the same thing, it comes to just going ahead with action and doing something rather than just thinking about it.
If you have been finding yourself at the receiving end time and time again, unable to reach your goals this is for you.
It is time to stop being a procrastinator.
Unless you are able to have a clear decision, you cannot get ahead and act. The best decisions often are made quickly. Almost on the spur of the moment. Haven’t you heard the saying “strike while the iron is hot”? That is always the key. If you wait to think and second guess yourself. I guarantee you, every time, you will always be stuck in the same boat always. You’ll do next to nothing.
There is no growth in life without a conscious decision to act.
For many people the biggest reason they cannot stop being a procrastinator is the fact that they are overcome and overwhelmed by their fears. Consider how these fears come into being in the first place. A fear is a small seed of doubt that grows as you think of it repeatedly. If you want to be able to stop procrastinating you have to kill that flame. The best way to do this is to not feed the fear with other doubtful thoughts. Kill the thought by acting. Once you act on your decision, your fears will fade.
Every single person that has found ways to overcome procrastination talks about how they found the strength for it within themselves. Prioritizing on what you need to do is the first step. Staying focused on a task comes from an inner resolve and the only person standing in the way of completing a task is you. Once you realize this, it gets very easy to do everything you set out to do.
You will be able to easily achieve all your dreams and ambitions the day you decide to stop being a procrastinator. The secret is act on your hunches, guts reactions, flashes of inspiration. They will be your own solutions to you not being a procrastinator any more.
