Do you want to do EFT, but can’t find the time to do it every day?

A tapping round of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is very quick, yet I know sometimes you just can’t find the time to fit it in everyday.

There is one secret place and time where you can always do a round of tapping. You are on your own, with no distractions from anybody else.

When and where is this secret place?

I’ll tell you.

The bathroom. You can always go into the bathroom, lock the door and do a round of tapping. You only need 2 or 3 minutes to do a round.

But when and how can you fit EFT into your daily routine?

Listed are some of my favourite places and times to do a quick round of tapping.

1. Do a round of tapping the moment you wake up. After a few days, you’ll naturally remember to tap every day.

2. Tap when you go to bed at the end of the day. You can review your day and tap on anything that you have not liked.

3. Every time you have a meal or prepare something to eat. For most of us, that is 3 times a day. Although if you’re on a certain type of diet, it could be a lot more. Result! I know from cooking myself, there is always some down time when preparing the dinner.

4. Walking to and from the office. Why not tap when walking the dog?

5. Every time you make a cup of tea or coffee. Or do you grab a coffee on the way to the office? For you, that might be an extra 8 tapping rounds a day!

6. Why not tap, every time you stop at a red traffic light. – Make sure it is safe to do so!

7. Do you watch TV? Tap along to the news or when watching your favourite soap.

8. Do you use public transport to go to school or the office? Tap whilst waiting or during the journey. For me, I gain an extra hour a day!

9. If you fly, tap in the departures lounge or during the flight or why not both

10. I love to tap every Saturday before and during my game of hockey (field). My goal scoring has gone through the roof already this season. I was not a natural goal score, yet now during the game and at practice during the week. I crave to score a goal. I now want to score, not just be a goal provider.

How can you find more of your own free time?

For the next two or three days, just note down on a piece of paper r, what you do during a day and at what time. You’ll soon find your own free time. You’ll be amazed at all the free time you have. What actually do you do when you stop work and return home for the rest of the day?

Here are two “time sheets” in pdf format for you to fill out and find your extra free time.  The more honest you are with yourself, the more free time you will find that you have.

How do you fit EFT into your daily routine?

How To Do EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) ?

Do you know how to do EFT?

Follow the easy instructions below to begin your EFT journey.

Think of a negative emotion, limiting decision, bad habit or something that you want in your life that you don’t have right now. Give it a name or label. i.e. anger.

On a scale of 1-10 rate this emotion and its intensity. 1– being little or no emotional intensity and attachment. 10 being maximum intensity and emotional attachment.

Now, on your dominant hand take your index and middle fingers and begin tapping on the fleshy side part of the palm on your other hand.


Tap with the same pressure as if you were tapping on a table top or door.

As you tap on the side of your hand you say the following:

Even though I have this “emotion, limiting decision etc”,I deeply and completely, love, forgive and accept myself.

So if you were feeling anger you would say


Even though I have this anger, I deeply and completely, love, forgive and accept myself.

You say this phrase 3 times and tap continually on the side of your hand.

Even though I have this anger, I deeply and completely, love, forgive and accept myself.

Even though I have this anger, I deeply and completely, love, forgive and accept myself.


Once you have said this you move to the next points. Now we tap on the following points only with our finger tips. At each point tap about 7-10 times.


As you tap at each point you say a reminder phrase to keep you tuned into what it is you are wanting to clear. i.e. this anger. It can also be much longer, i.e not having my own home.

  • The first point is on the inside edge of the eyebrow. Either or both eyebrows will do. Again tapping 7-10 times and repeating your reminder phrase.
  • The next point is the side of the eye on the bone. You can tap on just one or both eyes.. Again 7-10 times repeating your reminder phrase.
  • Next we go under the eye and tap on the bone under your eye. Again you can just do one or both.
  • Under your nose.
  • Next in the middle of your chin, where you have the little crease.
  • Next you tap on the beginning of your collar bone. You also use all your finger tips and cover both collar bone points. Again tapping and repeating your reminder phrase.
  • Next tap under your arm. Either side. About 4 inches down from the arm pit, in line with your nipples It’s about bra strap lever.
  • Finally, tap onto your head. Tap in a circular direction about where you would wear a beanie hat or yamika.


step2 small How To Do EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) ?

When you’ve completed that take a moment, have a deep breath and just relax for a moment or two.

Well, done you’ve just done your first round of EFT.

Now rescore yourself on the emotional intensity of what it was you were feeling. You should notice a change and decrease in emotion. Maybe you have noticed a shift in the feeling or its location in your body. Maybe the emotion has changed its shape and size. Maybe it has disappeared all together.


After you have done some rounds of tapping, you might find yourself tired, or that you yawn and you need to drink some water. These are all quite normal and excellent signs that you are changing on a much deeper level.

Now let the tapping fun begin!
